If this is a concern to you, you might consider abstinance. If that becomes problematic, try AA it is free

Milk thistle seed is the best for a liver tonic. While dandelion root dose have some live tonifying properties, we herbalists usually use that more for kidney things. While evening prime rose is an excellent supplement for helping the immune system and helping lower cholesterol, licorice root is the addicts best friend. (bonus, it tastes good too). If you are looking to reduce craving or quitting drinking, holy basil tea is what you want. But definitely, at least start taking the milk thistle seed. I always recommend whole plant supplements, rather than standardized dosing. Whole plant is 99.9% side effect free, usually less expensive, and work better than extracting the "active ingrediant" and concentrating it into somthing completely UNnatural. If you do choose the standardized capsule, follow the directions on the bottle to the letter. FYI Milk thistle seed needs to be taken at night, when you go to bed, that is when the liver is doing it’s restorative work. Good luck to you!

Besides a multivitamin you could take extra magnesium and vitamins B1 and B3.

Vit C, B1, and L-Cysteine, (three times a s much C as the others) as well as any other antioxidants, plus magnesium. Alcohol forms very destructive compounds in your body as it is metabolised, but these will help minimise the damage. and I agree with a previous post, abstinence is best! BTW, I am a bartender who no longer drinks, having seen and experienced what it does.
