which herbs or fruit plants are hardy against direct sunlight?

Tuesday Jul 20, 2010

i’ve grown some thai peppers, cilantro and basil in nursey pots (kept outdoor with partial sunlight) but decided to moved them into my rasied garden- what a mistake! they all die within two days. i guess they couldn’t tolerate hours of direct sunlight, so can someone please suggest some that are hardy enough for my garden bed? thank you in advance for your answer ^^

The problem is not that they can not withstand direct sunlight. The problem is that you did not harden them up first. They spent all their life protected and grew lots of lush vegetation. They did not build up any resistance to the sun.

The same as if you try to get a tan in one day. You get sunburned if you don’t take it easy.
