What herbs/medicine/remedy can keep you awake and alert with little sleep?

Sleep is an important function of the body. Do not use meth, i have seen many who have and now visit my ER with psych problems. The b vitamins are good to help u maintain alertness, B 12 is often deficient in people who are chronically tired. Be cautious of caffeine and effedra and many other stimulates, they can cause anxiety, hart burn, high blood pressure and a rapid hart rate.
There are caffeine pills i do not recommend them however. Try having an espresso o a strong green tea again …i am not a fan of any of them i believe that if your body wants to sleep you should give it that. Sometimes our subconscious knows better what we need:)
There are several ones but each have side effects, so beware.
Many of the strong ones are illegal and dangerous like that of Methamphetamine(speed).
I would say, that the safer ones, are ephedra, caffeine or chickory root. However check with you local laws on legality issues.
There are other alternatives to chemical drugs/herbs, such as meditation and relaxation techniques.
good question. i managed to sleep 5 hours a day during my exams period. and i was fit all the time. how? i took magnesium pills (150mg a day) its perfectly healthy and natural. they work amazingly good. hope this helps ^^
