What herbs grow fast and easily from cuttings?
Posted by pano | Under Herb Garden Thursday Sep 9, 2010I have a uni group project involving a public display. I suggested giving out herb cuttings under the belief that the ridiculous amount of parsley growing in my garden could be cut and divided into separate portions. Turns out apparently parsley won’t grow from cuttings so my question is:
What herbs/small plants will grow fast and easily from cuttings? The display is in two weeks so any help would be appreciated.
Other plants which grow really good as cuttings:
- Peppermint
- Pelargonium, try to obtain scented-leaf varieties( like Pelargonium crispum (Lemon scented), grows like crazy!) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelargonium)
- Coleus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solenostemon_scutellarioides)
Lets see:
There is Basil,Thyme,Rosemary,Sage,Lavender and
Watercress.
That’s all I can think of at the moment.
Hope it helped a bit.
