What fresh herbs would go best with zucchini bread?

Friday Aug 27, 2010

I’m making zucchini bread later tonight and I have fresh mint, dill, thyme & rosemary from the garden. I thought rosemary might taste good baked in the bread…what do you think? Recommend anything else?

definately rosemary. Try a bit of cayenne pepper for a little kick and flavor also try thin slices of onion or garlic.

Not from your garden – but I always add cinnamon.

Hmmmm…i would think that the seasonings that you mentioned, would taste great, although I’ve never had zucchini bread made that way before I’ve only had sweet ones, with cinnamon, chocolate chips, blueberry, etc. but on this link at All Recipes they have over 50 recipes…..pick one for your liking! :)

cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice……… None of what you have in your garden would be a good marriage with a sweet bread.
