What do you guys do to prepare for pregnancy?

Tuesday Sep 7, 2010

Me and my boyfriend are going to start trying for a baby.We both hve been examed by a doctor (blood tests included) both are taking fertility health herbs, have changed our diets and I am taking a prenatal vitamin.

What other steps should we take before the "fun part" (lol) begins?
Lisa, just because they aren’t FDA approved, doesn’t mean that they aren’t safe. They cannot be FDA approved because they cannot be regulated bt the FDA.Herbal remedies have been around waaaay long before modern medince and are a lot safer than modern medicine as well.
lol, he knows how to do that.we briefly raised my nephew together (long story) and i taught him everything ;)

Umm, get married! j/k thats you’re business…..anyway, all that sounds good, maybe just some kind of lite workout to make sure your body is in good shape for pregnancy. Have you started keeping track of your cycle?…….And def try to relax, stress will only hinder the baby makin’ process! Good Luck

I don’t think it’s a good idea to be taking fertility health herbs when ttc. They are not FDA regulated and you DO NOT know what they will do to your body or the baby’s body FOR SURE. That is one thing I would change. Make sure you cut back or eliminate any smoking or drinking (for both of you) and get enough rest and try not to stress. Baby dust to you.

Get married, put on weight and freak out all the time about nothing as a guy going through this for my 3rd time i can say there absolutly no way to prepare its a beautiful thing but scares the hell out of me. Make sure you teach him how to do the diaper thing and do go leaving him alone with the kid to soon because if he is like me he wont know what to do and really freak to the point of calling his mommy crying because he cant get baby to quit crying!lol
