Boosting creativity is probably best approached by a combination of nourishing your brain, exercise and relaxing so that both the physical and mental sides of you are in optimum state.

Brain food – Mashed potatoes and barley are thought to improve memory within 15 minutes of consumption. The worse a person’s memory, the more improvement there is. Memory of course would be an important part of creativity because it allows you to draw on what you already know so you can start creating! Glucose is also thought to improve memory and brain function because it increases communication among brain cells.

Vitamins and Minerals – Ginkgo biloba and gotu kola increase blood flow to the brain and boron is essential for memory and attention (get boron from apples, pears and green leafy vegetables). B Group vitamins are important too (peas, beans, liver, kidney, chicken and eggs).
