Vegan growing organic food?
Posted by pano | Under Herb Garden Wednesday Jun 30, 2010Hi, I’m a vegan and would like to introduce myself to sustainable organic gardening to save money on expensive organic food. At the moment, I do not live in an area that will allow me to actually start a garden, but I would still like to learn about organic gardening and possibly start growing herbs and small vegetables in my apartment.
If anyone could recommend to me some solid websites and books, I would much appreciate it. Thanks.
most organic gardening references will not be vegan as animal manure is pretty essential to good soil fertility.

Organic vegetable gardening is a healthy way to grow organic vegetables (and fruit too). Make your own organic garden fertilizer or buy it, and other organic garden products, at your local Organic Garden Supply store. An organic vegetable garden uses organic products, such as organic garden fertilizer, organic soil, organic seeds and organic compost. Vegetables and fruit grown organically taste better and are better for you, and the environment.
