I’m starting to try my hand at making my own herbal tea and here is the recipe I’ve just made:
2 grams Damiana
2 grams Passion Flower
1/2 gram Peppermint
1/2 gram Mullein
So basically 5 grams to make a single cup of tea.
Now I’ve heard the Damiana and Passion Flower react good together, the peppermint is mostly for flavor and soothing effect, and the Mullein is for it’s cough relaxing, antioxidant, and minor narcotic properties.
I’m basically trying to make a healthy, relaxing, and hopefully mildly euphoric tea. Would this work good? If not, what would be your suggestion on dosage or recipe? I also have about an ounce of Kava Kava, but heard that when heated, the active ingredient is lost. Thanks for the help!

I have anxiety, and was wondering if this herbal tea (caffeine free) was good for relieving tension. Is lemongrass, lemon peel, or ginger root supposed to be relaxing? Thanks (:

Hi there
Being sick this weekend made me drink 20 cups of herbal tea mix against bronchitis. then I thought to myself that maybe some of the plants used to treat different symptoms might be more effective via "smoke" of the herbal tea.
Yet, I really couldn’t find any reference to that on the internet.
Does anyone know of a clinical research that was trying to validate the effect of herbal tea extracts via smoking it?
PS
I know of the tar problem so let’s assume that was the only thing that we had to worry about…. OK?
Thanks, waiting for some interesting thoughts!

The first night I had a panic attack was after I drank a laxative tea. That night I had a dream about killing my mom and woke up crying and freaking out. It’s been a week since I that occurred. Since then I’ve bought an herbal tea to help calm my nerves but instead of calming me it makes it worst. Can herbal teas (caffeine free) have a bad affect like that?
