I’m getting my cousin a home herb garden for christmas, but I still need to get her about 5-10 dollars more stuff for our secret santa gift exchange. what would be a cute kitchen item I could get her to go with the herbs?
ps. I’m only waiting til the last minute because I just got back from college a couple days ago.

I want an indoor culinary herb garden but haven’t heard much about them.
Are they worth it?
Does it actually work and continue to grow herbs?
If you’ve ever owned one I’d love to know your opinion.
Thanks!

Filed under :Kitchen Herb Garden: Why Start Growing Fresh Herbs?
I’m interested in starting a vegetable/herb garden at home, but I am an absolute beginner. I don’t have much space in my backyard (9 m square), and was thinking it might be a good idea to start growing things in pots. I’d like to grow some herbs and basic salad vegetables, like lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes.
I’d like some suggestions of where would be a good place to start for someone who’s never gardened before and who’s worried about killing more things than I grow.
Any advice is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Filed under :Drying and Storing Fresh Herbs.
Did an herb garden this year, and the lemon balm, basil, and sage really took off.
The sage is a tender perennial (pineapple) and the basil is just getting pulled since it’s an annual.
I may just cut back the sage to see if it will come up again.
But overall, I plan to cut them, hang them, dry them.
But what is the best way to store these herbs for about a years use or so until I can grow more?
Also, will factors such as heat and light affect the herbs?
I was thinking about storing them outside in a shed. But the temp still gets around 100 degrees.
If the herbs are dried and in storage, will a couple days or a week of 100 degree weather cause them to degrade or deteriorate slowly?

My dad works for a moving company and the company delivered a flower arrangement. Out of the flower arrangement came a tiny frog. He is yellowish brown and has some brown dots on his back. My dad said he grew up with those types of frogs, but I just wanted to make sure he is not poisonous. Also, what are these frog’s lifespan? I am keeping him in an herb garden box full of mainly dirt. Do I need to feed him, or will he feed on dirt? What do I need to feed him? How do we supply water? Any other important information on this type of frog. Most of the time he digs under the dirt and keeps his head above the dirt.
Thanks so much, I know nothing about frogs
Wait so is it poisonous? ( to the first answer)
btw the colors are very dull and earthy not neon colors
