When my b/f recently moved, the previous owners left behind a plant that was half dead. We started growing herbs, veggies, and flowers out on the terrace, so our interest in gardening has greatly increased over the last few months. That being said, our attention to this Mystery Plant has followed suit.
While my b/f guessed it either being a Palm or Bamboo, I guessed a type of Dracaena after some internet research (though I’ve yet to find an exact match – which is probably evidence that I am wrong). I’ve been following care tips for Dracaena, which included trimming dead yellow tips following the shape of the leaves, transferring it to a larger pot with new soil, providing indirect light, and watering only once the soil seems dry. All seem to be helping greatly.
I’ve included a link to a pic. If you can identify the plant please let me know!
Thanks.

I need to buy a grow light for a hydroponic garden and have no clue what I need or what to get. I heard that LED lights were really good ? Also, I am not sure what ballasts and reflectors do. Do you need to buy them separately or can you buy one light that includes everything ? I will probably be growing herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, etc…
This last spring I decided to venture into growing herbs from seeds. I planted about 20 different types, and I accidentally mislabeled almost all of them. Most of the culinary ones I recognized as soon as they started to grow and I used the internet to identify the rest but there is one that I couldn’t figure out.
I originally thought this was Yellow Yarrow, but upon seeing photos online, I don’t think it is. Here are two pictures of the plant. I think that it may be Garden Sorrel but it looks more like Japanese Eggplant but I’m not sure:

I am growing herbs for a year or so. I use them to make my teas and in cooking … of course. I have a jasmine bush in my garden.
What I would like to know is does anyone know how to make homemade jasmine tea.
Hi, I’m a vegan and would like to introduce myself to sustainable organic gardening to save money on expensive organic food. At the moment, I do not live in an area that will allow me to actually start a garden, but I would still like to learn about organic gardening and possibly start growing herbs and small vegetables in my apartment.
If anyone could recommend to me some solid websites and books, I would much appreciate it. Thanks.
