Hello, my foster dog came to me a few weeks ago & he has been itching up a storm. He was dx with dermititis from his previous vet & prescribed anti-biotics & another med I believe to be a steriod (label was wrecked when I got it). I do not believe in using medicines (drugs) unless it is absolutely necessary. Scooby was on a poor diet for most of his life, he is 6, but for the last month or so he has been on Canidae. I give him fresh herbs, supplements, Omega 3’s, garlic, DMG, Organic apple cider vinegar, home prepared food, yogurt, cottage cheese, 2 homeopathic pearls, & I use flower essenses for skin & allergies. I don’t know if there is anything else I may have missed. He is on Frontline (applied before he arrived), & he came in itching so it is not something just here. It could be his horrile diet of 6 years of Kibbles & Bits. thank you for reading & any suggestions.

They should be sun- and heat-loving, because most of them will be on the balcony or on the roof. A few small ones could be shade-loving.
I would prefer it if they all had some practical uses, such as vegetables or herbs.
Here are some that I’m planning on growing, to give you an idea of the sort of thing I want: Aloe vera, mint, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, green beans and peas, onions and garlic, lemon trees, carrots and lettuce.
Thanks in advance

I’ve tried Tea Tree Oil. It works pretty good at bringing the rash down and keeping the infection from spreading.
I took Oregano Oil and that worked pretty darn good. The rash started shrinking. But then I read somewhere that oregano oil has an unknown level of neuro-toxins.
I’ve been taking only Garlic gel capsules and Flaxseed Oil in mass quantities because it’s all I got. They don’t do a thing if I’m stressed out!
Dandruff shampoo dries out my skin to the point of complete discomfort.
I was thinking of taking acidophilus to balance out my digestive system so that the infection can’t live off of the excess sugar in my skin oil.
What SUPPLEMENTS/HERBS have worked for you that…
Have no known long term effects.
Have no major side effects.
Does not conflict with St. John’s Wort or Eleuthero.
And can be ingested?
Any advice appreciated. Any questions on my diet or supplements, just ask. I’ll edit in my response.
