i’ve grown some thai peppers, cilantro and basil in nursey pots (kept outdoor with partial sunlight) but decided to moved them into my rasied garden- what a mistake! they all die within two days. i guess they couldn’t tolerate hours of direct sunlight, so can someone please suggest some that are hardy enough for my garden bed? thank you in advance for your answer ^^

I have a pet male hairless rat that I love dearly, and was wondering if I could feed him some herbs from my spice garden as treats. I have cilantro, basil, oregano, mint, chives, and lettuce growing. I know he can eat the lettuce and cilantro, but what about the others?
Also, any recommendations on treats that your rats like are welcome

I have two actually.
I just planted an herb garden, they’re all potted since I live in an apartment.
Here are my herbs:
Parsley
Oregano
Chives
Rosemary
Sage
Basil
& Cilantro
how much sun light do all of these herbs need? Do I keep them all in direct sunlight (which my porch only gets about 6 hours of direct sunlight a day) or do I keep them sheltered more so they only get about half of that?
also, the plants with the leaves I’m good, but I’m a little confused about the chives. When I bought them the woman told me to pick from the outside so I can let new ones come in from the middle. When I pick do I just cut them off where they meet at the soil, or do I pull from the root or something? If I pull form the root if that’s what you’re supposed to do, will I upset the whole plant and could potentially pull the whole thing out…

I have started a small herb garden consisting of Basil, Cilantro, Rosemary and Chives. How do I know the right time to pick them for cooking?
