I just got a bearded dragon yesterday, he turned 1 in the spring. The previous owner was freaked out by the crickets and the worms so she only fed him the dragon food. He eats the bugs like he’s starving at every feeding and I worry about over feeding or impacting him. I know that it will take him some time to become acclimated to his new home; but I am worried about over feeding. He has eaten almost 2 dozen crickets in less than 12 hours and about 6 meal worms. Poor thing is skinny in comparison with the pics I’ve seen on the net of other year old dragons. Am I feeding him too much and are herbs from my herb garden, basil, thyme, sage, chives acceptable for leafy greens for him? i am also feeding him the dragon food, though he doesn’t seem to have an interest in it at all. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!! I really want him to be a healthy happy dragon!!

Hello,
right now i have a little herb garden growing in my bedroom. i have a pot with basil and parsley that’s still young and hasn’t grown much on my windowsill. Then i have 2 basil plants (Italian and sweet), 1 thyme, 1 chives, and 1 arugala plant on a raised shelf on my brother and I’s desk. They are in pots and i have a incandescent light bulb that gives them there heat and light i have a 60 watt bulb in there. I’m also thinking of adding a parsley plants or cilantro plant too. I just put in another light bulb on the opposite side to put out a little more light is this overkill? Also is flourecent or incandecent better for growth and i tried to plant them outdoors but after hours of preperation and digging and getting rid of all the grass and most of the weeds i ran into a rather large obstruction. It’s like a big big big root or rock or something so yah. Is my light sufficient to keep them happy and healthy because they all like hot full sun or partial shade.

Thanks for the help
It’s about 3 feet from a window and my mom said that it’s probably getting plenty of light idk though?

We’re growing dill, parsley, chives and basil. Or might it be bad once we consume them? We didn’t read the instructions properly so we’ve been giving it everyday instead of once a week but they are growing anyway, will just do it once a week now though. The stuff we’re usiing is called "Feed Me" (a small yellow bottle of concentrate that makes 80 litres supposedly) Also trying to grow tomatoes and wild strawberries. All in pots on our kitchen windowsill, lol. But we also put them outside on a table in the back garden during the day. Never tried to grow anything before so all very new to us. Thanks.
Manure tea, I’m empty reaching here…..ahhh,ahhhh….lol Kitchen would smell like a toilet me thinks…..In the pots we just have regular earth mixed with something called "coco peat" that we bought.
Thanks but it’s not called Orchid fertiliser, it’s simply called "Feed Me", made by some company called "151" http://www.151.co.uk/index.html I can’t see the fertaliser at their site, maybe they no longer make it, it was only about €2/ anyway.

So mainly my questions are which are which and some recommendations for herbs to plant in each. I already have Chives and Lemon Balm planted somewhere else and I’m not planning on putting them in my new garden area.

Perennials (I think) that I have:

rosemary cuttings and sage that I just got from my neighbor, then some catnip which will probably go in a pot because I don’t want it taking over. I also want to get some lavender. There will most likely still be space so I’m looking for other recommendations! Preferably some with a lot of uses, perhaps both culinary and medicinal– I’m interested in both.

Annuals:

A lot… Too many, probably. I have parsley (I know it’s a biennial but I’ll be growing it as an annual) sweet basil, cilantro, dill, chamomile, and echinacea. I think those are all annuals, correct me if I’m wrong. Other than those, any recommendations for others? Like I said, both medicinal and culinary are fine

I’m also wondering which if any, can be grown in pots because I may just do that with the annuals instead of have an extra herb garden for them.
