Big passion killers are drinking smoking and recreational drugs so cut them down or stop altogether. Absolutely. A low sex drive at any age, is due primarily in America to eating low fat diets, low salt. This obsession with low fat is ludicrous and damages the body in many ways. The steroid hormones are made in the liver. These hormones need pregnenalone precursor to make them. They require fat and minerals to be made. If you are eating lots of sugar, drinks with caffeine in them like those stupid, dumb so called energy drinks this will cause your body to experience a cascade of events that plays havoc with your blood sugar and those spikes will cause your adrenal glands to fire because your body will feel like it is in a state of "fight or flight" due to that. When this happens, the adrenal glands produce high cortisol, the stress hormone and this fight or flight condition causes the liver to reprioritize because the last thing you would want to do in that fight or flight condition is to have sex, right? Right. Refined sugar, white flour, hydrogenated oils, white Morton salt, etc. were not available over 100 years ago. Since our genetics have only changed about 0.1% in 12,000 years, we were not designed to eat that junk. Our bodies are being abused by it and it is fighting back.
Change your diet and you will be amazed at how well your sex drive comes back. Avoid ALL vegetable oils, hydrogenated oils, sugar, low density carbs, etc. Eat lots of good olive oil, real butter made from raw cream, coconut oil, and avoid ALL margarines, chips, etc.
