first off, plants dont feed on water. but i think i know what you mean. most herbs like a dry soil,so maybe you should water once a week,or less depending on rain fall amounts.

it depends on where they are/ how dry your house is- if they are right underneath a heat duct the water will evaporate faster.

It is important to make sure the soil is damp, but not soaking to ensure the seeds don’t drown. Best is to gently press down on the soil with your finger.

And don’t forget to put them by a window/underneath a lamp to ensire they get plenty of light- enjoy your herb garden! Great for cooking this time of year

It depends on the plants you own .Lets start by Basil:
Basil is very sensitive to cold, with best growth in hot, dry conditions.grows best in strong sunlight, therefore a greenhouse or cloche is ideal if available. They can, however, be grown even in a basement, under fluorescent lights.
If its leaves have wilted from lack of water, it will recover if watered thoroughly and placed in a sunny location. Yellow leaves towards the bottom of the plant are an indication that the plant needs more sunlight or less fertilizer.
The chive chives need to be germinated at a temperature of 15 °C to 20 °C and kept moist.
Parsley grown indoors requires at least five hours of sunlight a day.
