How can I keep squirrels (& other animals) out of my garden?
Posted by pano | Under Herb Garden Wednesday Sep 1, 2010I’m planting herbs, fruit & vegetables, and flowers in my yard and I’m wondering how to keep squirrels (& any other animals) from eating and/or destroying them. I’ve heard of using coffee or cayenne pepper, but I wasn’t sure if this would effect the taste of the herbs & fruits & veggies.

Coffee and cayenne pepper will work and do not effect the taste. However I would not recommend putting it directly on the plants just around the border of the garden. Dog and human hair clippings will work great to. Just remember that you will have to renew all of these after a heavy rain.
