I picked up some Rooibos Chai tea today and noticed the expiration date was 5 months ago. Is it safe to still drink? Or should I throw it out?

thats a good question. Look on the container and see if there is an 800 customer service number and by all means call it.
Many times, with beverages like this, the expiration date doesn’t mean anything, it may simply be fulfilling a FDA rule.
However, if there would be an issue, the customer service rep on the other end of that 800 number surely would know or would be able to find out.
The other thing you could do is take it back to the store you purchased it at and get a refund or a replacement.
i have drank it without realizing it was expired and nothing happened to me but just 2 b on the safe side i would make sure. i would like to no the ans. to this myself.
